Christmas time is here!

we went to the farm.
a cute farm.
picked out the best looking Christmas tree.

Put it on top of the car.
Someone forgot to open the doors
and had to climb in the drivers side
 to get to their passenger seat.
Wonder who would do such a thing?
Someone wouldn't let the tree be on the car
without wrapping it up first.
Wonder who would do such a thing?

then, we had fun decorating our place.
{which is still kinda in progress}

maybeeee i'm kinda short. hm.

Growing Up and a cool cup.

This sweet girl got her ears pierced today.
And she kinda loves her new sparkly earrings.

Have you ever seen cups that have a little "chalkboard" scratch thing on it?

i happen to think they are pretty amazing.

happy birthday, mom!

{me with mom while she was pregnant with coy}

I love you Mom!  Happy Birthday!!

full of thanks.

there are so many things i'm thankful for this year.

i'll make a short list.  it will be pretty serious and pretty sappy.  sorry. :)

  • being married to an amazing, funny guy.  i'm thankful for him.
  • thankful for a God that has so much love for His people.
  • family.  they are all so special to me and i wish i could see them more.
  • our cute apartment with all the "things" in it.
  • having a job... even though i don't like it.  at least i have one, right?
  • our church family.  we love Sunday's.
  • our friends... even though we do need to be more social sometimes.
  • having friends as our downstairs neighbors. (chad and skyler you need to come up more often.)
  • to be 23 and most people think i'm not that old.
  • life.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

{that's me playing football, i think on thanksgiving?}

 i love being in Seneca (even though i could not wait to move away when i lived here) and being with my family.  kadi mae was HILARIOUS last night... putting on shows and making up songs.  hagen has changed so much.  and is quite the funny little guy.  it was so great just sitting around with everyone.

i'm looking forward to today!  i'll watch the thanksgiving day parade with my mom (no one else seems to care about it around here)  and then go up to my grandparents for thanksgiving lunch.  i plan on eating way too much and not caring.  my grandma makes amazing home made hot rolls.  we'll probably play cards and we'll miss you lindsay!  of course, dad and michael will be watching football. then, we'll come back and i'll take some family pictures of the lankfords and eat dinner where i'll eat way too much again and not care. :) i'm thinking we'll get in the hot tub tonight.
doesn't that sound like a fantastic day?  i think so.

{have a wonderful day with your family! }

sorry thanksgiving.

i am not the kind of person that can decorate for Christmas before Thanksgiving is here.
so, i had nothing to do with this.....

i wonder who put up a little tree before thanksgiving...
i'll give you a hint.

{i still love him very, very much and am very thankful to be his wife.}

happy thanksgiving.

i'm thankful for sooooo many things...
one being that i get to go home today!!!
i cannot wait to see my family.

Oh, little town of 2,267 people i cannot wait to see you today.

happy friday!

hahahaha.

i wanted to give you a gooood laugh today!
so, go ahead. laugh.

look how goofy that helmet looks on me!
i found this picture from back in august on michael's macbook.
and i laughed at how ridiculous i look.
honestly, i can't even drive the thing!
maybeee i'll try again in the spring.

until then..... it's time to go Christmas decorating shopping! :)
our plans for this evening include just that.
i can't wait.
but, we aren't putting up the tree or any decorations until next weekend.

i work tomorrow, boo.
but, i hope you have a wonderful weekend.

do something fun.

p.s. for some reason i'm in such a jolly mood today.
                                    and i love it.

baby horse.

coy took some more pictures of the colt
 (still with his iphone, but at least it's day time)

{my horse, fancy face.}

{her new baby}

{already has the winter coat on}

{precious.}

can you make yourself like something?

the other day i mentioned i started liking cottage cheese, outta nowhere!  i also mentioned that i wished i liked peanut butter.  i've never even been able to stand the smell.  my little brother always thought it was hilarious to put peanut butter right in front of my face. wellll, i can stand the smell now and have even made a couple of sandwiches for michael.... so maybe i might like the taste too?  i want to like puppy chow, pb & j sandwiches, pb & celery, and reeses pb cups.  maybe i should just give in and try it.  but, i've spent my whole entire life disliking it.

funny fact: when michael was little he called "pb & j"  "pp & j" (not on purpose) and even accidentally did it the other day.  i laughed so hard.  mature, right?

 this seems silly to be blogging about this, i know.
but, really, can you make yourself like something?

{photo found here.}

thankful for today.

{have a lovely day.}

sooo....

i've always been one to say no christmas music until after thanksgiving.  but, i'm hooked.  springfield has a radio station that plays it non-stop and i listened to sufjan stevens holiday albums. so good.  it really put me in the mood to do our christmas cards that i've been putting off.  once started... i really enjoyed doing them. i hand-stamped each one and wrote a little note inside.  we'll take a picture as soon as our tree is up to put in the card. :)  pictures to come (after i send them out!)

we are more than likely going to do a real tree this year.... our first christmas as a married couple.  i wish our tree would magically turn pink...

like this one... {found here}... but michael is pretty set on having a green tree and i'm ok with it.  i cannot wait to decorate our place and help my parents put the tree up while we're home for thanksgiving.
 looooove the. holidays. so. much.

welcome to the world, baby colt.

it's cold outside...like 38 degrees cold outside.
where did the "summer in november" go?

it's a chilly night, but here's something that makes my heart
happy and warm!
  my horse, fancy, just had another colt!!
i was so excited to go home for thanksgiving,
but this makes me even more excited.
coy (little bro) took some photos with his iphone in the dark
(smart one that boy is.) so this is all i've got for now,
but he promises there will be some in the light tomorrow. :)
love my brother.
i guess you could say they are kinda artsy. maybe?

{not even 5 minutes after birth}

{beautiful}

this & that for today..

it rained almost the whole way home yesterday...
i took a nap while michael drove.

i learned that michael's grandpa, burton, used to do
stained glass art.

i have a terrible cold (cough, aches, and all.)
 so i'm snuggled up on the comfy sofa today.
so far i've watched "no reservations" and now "serendipity"

i would rather be at work than feel the way i do today... that says a lot.

happy friday!

what a healthy lunch,  huh?
i used to dislike cottage cheese verrrrry much,
but recently discovered:  i like it.
weird.
  next i'll start liking peanut butter.
sometimes i wish i liked peanut butter.

no, i did not wear my apron to make a grilled cheese sandwich.
i wore it to make muffins to take on our road trip to...
ponca city, oklahoma
{to see michael's grandparents}
early in the morning.

P.S. my "savor the favor" t-shirt is from husband's old band...
 time of favor.  it's one of my favorite t-shirts i own.

movie inspiration.

okay, so... i guess maybe i've been in a sappy movie mood.  this week i've watched the holiday and just finished p.s. i love you.  i enjoy the movies, but i've seen them a few times so i found my mind wandering a little.  while watching the holiday i was trying to figure out if i'd want to live in the cute little cottage or the large, everything included LA place.  my husband would probably choose the LA place, because of the theatre system and all the dvd's plus that big screen.  but, i think i'd go for the cottage.  simple and sweet.

{all photos found by google images.}

i think it's time for a trip to a bed and breakfast
 or  just somewhere relaxing and cozy.

Now, about p.s. i love you..... i can't understand how she is soooo unhappy with living in their "little" apartment.  it's decorated amazingly.  i love all the curtains and little details in it.  the movie also makes me realize i should not take the little things in life for granted and to be happy with life.

Oh, and who wouldn't want to go to Ireland?
Michael's parents went last year and I was jealous.
 Their pictures are beautiful.
magazine article about their trip here.

michelle my belle.

i am missing my sister today.

we both have the day off... why did we not plan something, sister??
 come see me and we can shop and bake and have fun.

pretty food.

Big Leo Productions made my mouth water as I looked at all the pretty pictures of food.  And, made me wish I would have bought a KitchenAid like that one with some wedding money.

go look at all the food and cute kids and decor.

i wish i had a puppy.

and if i had a puppy then i would take cute pictures of him/her like these and send them to desire to inspire...

i like where we live, but boy would i love to be able to have a dog.  i think i would choose an medium sized...the little ones are just so cute though.

bonfire.

Man, i LOVE that boy.

We go to a wonderful church that we absolutely love.
 We've made some pretty good friends through it and are so blessed.

summer in november?

last friday SERIOUSLY felt like summer.  i walked to maria's (a cute little mexican place on south ave.) and was almost sweating by the time i got there.  aaaand i had on short sleeves!  i hear saturday was just as beautiful, but sadly, i was stuck at work for 12 hours.

i got to hang out with a couple of beautiful friends (kourtney and anna) on friday.  and, we had to do another photo-shoot.   look at a previous photo-shoot here.

photos by me, edited by anna

Oh, and here is a picture of the new hair....
